Our strategy was to prove that absence makes the heart grow fonder for Whopper lovers. In this campaign, we orchestrated an elaborate alternate reality in which the Whopper was discontinued. We filmed it on hidden camera, created TV and an online film that chronicled the result: a very real Whopper freakout. Then the King reminded people how much we love the Whopper and how sweet life is when you have it your way.
